Baptism Day

Bernadette was baptized on Sunday. You know what I love most about a baptism well besides that my baby is washed of original sin, the chrism. Thats right I love that smell. I am not quite sure what it is about the chrism but I always ask the priest to apply it heavily and I usually don't wash my little one's hair for about a week after the baptism I love that smell so much!! I used the baptismal gown that my mom had made for my brothers and I. I have used this gown for the other two children as well. One of these days I think I will get it embroidered with my and my brothers baptism dates and then with my children's baptism dates and someday maybe I will be lucky enough to hand it down my beautiful little children.

I made the cake and while it was super tasty I used a new buttercream icing recipe and the icing was amazing but it was just hard to frost the cake so I wasn't quite as pleased with how the cake looked had I used a different icing.
It was nice to get together with family and close friends and celebrate Bernadette. She is such a sweet baby and I love her so much. Here are a few pics of our little chunky monkey love.

Two weeks ago tomorrow Randy and I welcomed another blessing into our lives Bernadette Grace. She is such a sweet baby and Wyatt and Brelli are doing very well with her.
Bernadette definitely "Graced" us with her presence in a way I was not expecting. A week before my scheduled C Section I started having some lower back pain and just started feeling poopy the night before. I got up and went to work on Friday like usual but had texted Randy telling him I just felt off all day. I came home from work and decided about 8 pm that maybe I should think about deciding if I should go to the hospital. I have been lucky enough to never have gone into labor before so I wasn't sure if I was having contractions or not. Randy took the kids to his parents house then came back home and got me. We arrived at the hospital and then I was hooked up to the monitor. I was not expecting to see anything but sure enough there it was. I was having contractions pretty regular too every 3-4 minutes but I could still talk through them. I was dilated to a 1 and they would give me an hour to see if I progressed any. Unfortunately we were not having a baby on 11-11-11, I was sad yet kind of happy too because I was not ready I had plans for the next week before little Bernadette was scheduled to be in my arms.
Saturday I just did my own thing despite still having contractions that were pretty regular. I had refused to go back to the hospital I knew they weren't going to let me have a baby yet. Sunday morning I had been up since about 5 am the contractions were getting stronger and I finally decided to suck it up and go back to the hospital. After my mom came and got the kiddos, Randy and I went back to the hospital. I was still having contractions every 3-4 minutes but I was still dilated to a 1. I got another hour to see if I would progress. This time I opted to go and walk for that time period. While we were walking I felt like I kept feeling something wet at my ankle but decided it was my imagination because surely my water hadn't broke.
We went back upstairs to antepartum and I was rechecked the only progress I had made was being effaced 10% more. I am not gonna lie I cried then my nurse came in and I tried to hide my tears I was embarrassed and I didn't want her to see my emotion I mean come on I was only dilated to a 1 and it was only the beginning stages of labor. I was surely made of stronger stuff than this.
We went home and met up with my parents later that afternoon and saw Puss n boots with the kids and my brother and his son. I sat through that movie and had contractions up until the last 15 minutes it sucked!! We went home and I finally decided that I was going to need to get packing a hospital bag. I had a BPP the next day at my OB's office and I was determined to see him. I was going to convince him to let me have this baby. I didn't think he would let me but I was going beg, plead cry whatever it took to have this little girl sooner rather than later!
I got Bernadette packed but didn't really pack anything for myself. I got up Monday about 100 am and sat in the living room drinking some water to see if it would help with my contractions. Shortly thereafter my two little ones also woke up and came out and sat with me. The kids probably sat with me for about an hour and then I sent them back to bed. Finally at about 530 I decided I should try to go and get some sleep despite having my BPP soon I also knew I was going to have to work the next two days. I went and laid down and cried waking Randy up and he said if its that uncomfortable why don't we go back to the hospital. I told him no I was determined to wait for Dr. Feuille and I didn't want to be sent home for a third time that is just embarrassing plus I refused to have another cervical check by a resident it hurt worse than any contraction I had yet to experience.
Randy decided to come to my BPP with me that morning just in case we might have a baby. We drove separately though. We went to the BPP and the sonographer said everything looked good except our fluid level. I have never been so happy to fail a BPP ever! We went back to see Dr. Feuille and he called the hospital they said if we can be there in 10 minutes then we could go at 11 am. I said I can be there in how ever many minutes you need me to be!!
This was it I had been hoping for this all weekend but also I was a little sad. I still had made plans to have a day with the kids so we could have some time before their new sibling arrived.
It was kind of a whirlwind of events. I think I was more emotional with Bernadette's birth than the other two because I had time to prepare myself for their arrival. The whole time we were in the OR suite I was shivering not because of the cold but also because of the nerves. Dr. Feuille arrived and they got started 20 minutes later out came our little girl. She weighed 9lbs 15oz and was 20 3/4 inches long. She is so beautiful and I am so enamored with her. I don't know if it was because it has been longer between babies for us this time, the fact that everything happened so quickly or because we had so many other complications this pregnancy than with the other two or because I also know that Bernadette could be my last baby. We could be done and it makes me sad.

I think the least favorite question I have had this pregnancy is are we done is she the last baby for us. Honestly I don't know she could be and she could not be I don't know God's plans for our family but until the time when we have decided that we aren't called to have anymore children I am going to enjoy my three beautiful gifts from God and cherish every moment we have!

This year for Wyatt's 4 year photos I decided to go the non traditional route with his photos. Instead of going to portrait innovations or JCP I asked a friend who freelances if she would be willing to take pics for us. I went to one of Wyatt's favorite places the Train Museum. I knew he would love it. Katie happened to catch this cute photo of my boys together. I really am not sure why I enjoy it so much but I do. I think it captures how much love and fun they have together. What makes it even more special is that Wyatt for some reason loves the Santa Fe trains if he sees a train he will always ask is it a Santa Fe. Of course Katie had no idea of that when she snapped this photo but there it is in the back the Santa Fe train! Too cute. I am excited to see if after she cleans it up and adds some special effects to it and makes the Santa Fe pop!

Something Beautiful

This last year and a half has been one that I have learned to truly put my faith and trust in our Heavenly Father and know in my heart that it will all be ok. Let me take you on my journey.
Do you ever feel that some days music is God's way of speaking to your soul? I do all the time. More so when I was in college and boys would come and go and a song would touch me in just the right way and I would know that it was all going to be ok.
Last year in September as I was going through a very hard time personally I had begun listening to christian radio. I have always been an R&B, rap, top 40's kind of girl. There was this song Something Beautiful by Need to Breathe. It came on the radio and the lyrics really touched me. "I just want something beautiful" I felt like that was my anthem. I just wanted something beautiful and I was continually asking God to give it to me. I was down on my knees and in reach of His awesome power He could give me my something beautiful anytime He wanted even though I wasn't exactly sure what that something beautiful was.
I heard "my" song on the way to one of my to one of my first interviews I had when I started looking for something different outside the hospital. I knew then at that moment that everything was going to be ok. My something beautiful was on its way. I got the job and even though it wasn't what I expected God delivered. Through the months I heard the song occassionally especially when I was down and it always seemed to uplift me no matter what was going on in my life. It just seemed to be God's reminder to me that even though I was down and out there was something beautiful still waiting for me.
Then Randy was approached about a new job and while it was a process that took longer than we expected I knew if I continued to trust in God all would be alright.
I did and everyday we waited it seemed like one day we were closer to God's will for our family and then the next day it was like we were miles away. I look back and realize I never heard "my" anthem song during that time of waiting for Randy and whatever job may happen for him. I do know I played that song on you tube a few times for myself as a little reminder that He still had something beautiful in store for us but that we weren't quite ready to accept and appreciate what that something beautiful was.
2.5 weeks ago Randy got offered that job and while it was exactly what we were looking for and knew he would be happy there I had some concerns. They are simple concerns at that. It was with a new company and my concern was what if they weren't able to make it, and what would happen to us, and other little things. I thought maybe I will hear "my" song and that will help guide me and let me know its ok. I didn't hear that song before Randy accepted the offer. I heard something beautiful a few days after Randy accepted the offer for the new position, but you know what that was ok but it was God's way of saying "Rachel I know have some concerns but you have been open and trusted me this far know that I will continue to take care of you." I broke down in my car sobbing because I didn't have anything to fear God was going to take care of us He had already gotten us this far.
Today I saw the maternal fetal specialist and of course I had concerns but kept telling myself if my OB was that concerned about my labs I would already have a baby in my arms as opposed to her still being in utero.
I get in my car to go to this appointment and there is "my" song Something beautiful on the radio as I get it and turn on the car. Awesome!! I knew right then that it was going to be ok. I called Randy and told him you don't have to come if you don't want to its going to be ok. He said how do you know. I said I just heard my song. He knows my history with this song so he knew what I was talking about.
You know what it was ok!
The amazing thing is that through this last year I have learned to put more trust in God and that the majority of the time if you are open to Him it is easy to know His will for you.
I just think would I have progressed this far in my faith this last year if it weren't for this song who knows but I am glad it has been there to help remind me of everything Something Beautiful that I do have in my life!

Cows, Horses and Cowboys Oh My Wait with a Birthday Too!

August has been quite the busy month. Wyatt's Grandpa took him to Great Grandma's (Granny as we lovingly call her)House in Pritchett, CO. It was hard for me to let him go because he has only been on one other road trip to Liberal to see his cousin Jenna and only for a night. He went and had quite the adventure. He got to ride the horses with Faith (whom he lovingly calls Maith sorry Faith :(). See the cows. He also to to help feed the chickens and help feed the bottle calves. His two cousins from Texas came up also and joined in on the fun. I know he had a wonderful time with Allison and Lauren. Two days later Randy left with Aubriella and made the trek to CO to pick Wyatt up and even though Brell was reluctant to ride a horse she had a wonderful time with Wolf the dog and helping feed the bottle calves.
I am so sad to have missed their adventures but since I had just started working with Wichita Surgical Specialists I am not eligible to take any vacay yet and I have to save up whatever vacation I can for when this new little bean joins us!
After the CO adventure we were preparing for Wyatt's birthday. Thank goodness for nesting because that really came in handy for me while getting the house cleaned up and more organized.
We had another pool party this year and Wyatt really enjoyed it. We even invited a few friends from preschool to come and he really liked that. The cake turned out better than I expected. I was sad it was a little leaning tower or pisa but oh well it was quite heavy with all of the fondant on it and all! Wyatt really liked the cake and that is all that matters.
All is going well for our little family. Randy started the fall garden and hopefully it will be more bountiful than our summer garden.
This is one pregnant lady who is happy that summer is almost over and that fall is coming upon us quickly because this heat is wearing me out.
I do love the fall and having open windows.

Sr. Sophia Grace

Our Friend Sr. Sophia Grace (Kim Huschka) is in town this week and next and it is an amazing blessing to see her. She is a TOR in Ohio. Today we decorated sugar cookies with her and some friends. It is always nice to catch up.
It always takes a while for Aubriella to warm up to people. It is difficult also because there are less habited nuns than there used to be and religious life is difficult to explain to even my soon to be 4 year old let alone my two year old.
Today was a pretty good day for Aubriella she said hi gave a couple of high fives to Sr. Sophia and wasn't her normally super shy self.
I had Brelli's hair up in a pony tail all day and tonight in the bath tub I took her pony out. Of course her hair is all slicked back from the pony. Aubriella looks at me and says look mommy I Sr. Sophia. I said you are? how? She gets close to my face looks me in the eyes and say look. I look back at her and I say because your hair is all slicked back from your pony. She looks at me like how can I not comprehend what she is talking about she is Sr. Sophia Grace and how can I not see!!
Well however she thinks she is Sr. Sophia tonight I hope she will someday consider the religious life just like her momma once did!

A busy month!

Well it has been a busy time. With Aubriella's birthday and easter. We have had fun with family. I included a few photos of the garden too so everyone can see how prosperous our summer bounty will be. I am so excited!! I am sad that Aurbiella's birthday cake did not turn out like I wanted but there is always next year! I went to daycare one day with the kids and had a really nice breakfast called 'Muffins with Moms' it is there little special way of celebrating mothers day. I really enjoyed myself watching the kids play and Wyatt sing with all of his friends! We are truly blessed!!

Welcome Spring

Spring has Sprung and with that comes our Vegetable Garden. I am so excited. This is actually the first year we have been on the ball to do a spring Garden. Delish I can hardly wait to start eating our yummy veggies. It is good to be outside and soak up some sun and watch the kids run around. I also love having eh house opened up and getting the shining sun inside!

I can remember as a little girl always having a garden. My parents tell me when I was a little girl I would go out and eat the asparagus straight from the ground dirt and all. I was only 2 so cut me some slack here. It is nice to pass on a little something like this to our children. Not eating the asparagus straight from the ground but having a garden. Wyatt is already talking about the funny carrots we are going to eat. He even helped plant the onions. He has such pride in helping with the garden.

My dad always taught us to enjoy the simple things in life. Whether that be camping outside in a tent. No camper camping for us. My favorite time was always winter camping with my dad. Snow would be on the ground but we always stayed warm. We would go out in the summer time at 4 AM to watch the meteor showers, catch lightening bugs, play catch. My absolute favorite was when dad would get ready to till the ground for the summer garden. I would frequently go out with him and help with the rototiller. We would never wear shoes. I know not the safest but hey it was awesome. The warmth of the sun with the slight breeze the smell of grass but also the sweet smell of the freshly tilled dirt. The squish of it between my toes was the most amazing feeling ever.
Imagine my surprise when Sunday Night Randy is preparing the garden for some planting and here comes my little girl around the corner with no shoes on running through the dirt and passing it through her hands and squishing it. Of course big brother joins in on the fun. It would make my dad proud!
The spring always reminds me of what Eden would have been like. Always beautiful like a spring day with a slight breeze the shining sun. An abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables. Who knows but hopefully we will get to experience that Eden someday in Heaven until then I will enjoy my little piece of Eden right here with my beautiful family!

Snow much Fun

Well the Snow came and went. We tried twice to make a snowman but the snow never cooperated with us. It was just too powdery. I think it is funny because Aubriella thinks the snow is a snowman and it took a few days for me to figure that one out. Everytime she would see snow she would say I see snowman mommy!! Too Cute! Here are a few pics of the snow and one of an impatient Aubriella. She just couldn't wait to take her bath!!

A New Year

Hello 2011!!! A lot has happened these last few months. I left the hospital went to Green Vision, got an unexpected call from a hospice went there. Loved it but felt uncomfortable with the way the business was being ran and now I am unemployed. Its been a long three weeks looking for a job. I am still looking but God is good and I know if I can keep trusting in him he will provide for us. I am slowly coming to the realization that I will probably be going back to 12 hours shifts, and weekends/holidays but oh well. I will also be applying to be a substitute nurse with the public school systems. It will be nice to have a little extra income.

Wyatt is just as active as ever. During the Holiday Season sometimes he would call Santa Claus and tell him he didn't need anything or that everyone in the family needed slippers. After we took the christmas tree down he called Santa and told him he needed help because Mommy was a bad girl and she needed to go to time out because she was taking down the christmas tree.

Aubriella is continuing to grow in her vocabulary skills and every skill in general. It is so sweet to see the kids interact with each other when they are behaving. They are both such little monkeys and constantly climbing on things they shouldn't be but adventure is a good thing right??

Since is snowed we went out and played and tried to make a snowman but alas the snow is too powdery. The kids really enjoyed playing outside in the snow and its fun to watch them and how they enjoy it.

No Pics this time but soon. We have misplaced the camera and I just haven't remembered where I put it. Some prayers are probably in order to St. Anthony!!

Where to begin it has been a busy summer and a busy busy fall. Our friend SSG came to visit and we had a bbq that was a lot of fun it was the second annual bbq with her and hopefully it will continue every year she is home. We have been to the zoo several times with cousins. We did the Heart Walk with CTICU and Wyatt really liked it. After the walk I started running with a friend to try to train for a 5K. Running was kind of a hit and miss but Wyatt always seemed to enjoy trying to run with me. He never did figure out how to run in a straight line. We really have enjoyed our run and the fall he did a fun/run walk with me and it was great!!! We celebrated his 3rd birthday. I made his birthday cake myself and I think it turned out very well. We had a pool party at our house. Wyatt really enjoyed it. Then came the pumpkin patch and Halloween. Randy made Wyatt's halloween costume fire engine mater! Enjoy the photos!

An Update and More

I keep telling myself I need to update more and I do but it is hard to find the time....what with two kiddos running about and a husband who is constantly traveling it is difficult to find the time. We are all doing well here and Aubriella is just picking things up. Just this week Wyatt is jumping around acting like his normal monkey self and I see Aubriella trying to jump it is just too cute. I thought Wyatt was a quick learner when he was younger but she surpasses him. I just love to see how my children are learning. For weeks Wyatt has struggled with identifying yellow and red and just yesterday he did. He is still big into trains some days I think he needs an intervention where that is concerned. Aubriella has no real interests in anything she will play with just about anything. Her new thing is to pick up a bag any bag it doesn't matter and to walk around the house with it and say bye bye. It is too cute.

As you can see we have been busy since our last post. I have been taking a cake decorating class and I really enjoyed it so much so that I have enrolled in course 2 so we will see how that goes. We took Wyatt to Walking with Dinosaurs and for weeks all we would hear is roarrrrr and when we would ask him to roar a little bit more quietly he would reply I am being a dinosaur.

We also had Aubriella's bday and I really was saddened by how my cake turned out and looked but hopefully if I keep up with class next years will look much better. We will see how Wyatt's bday cake turns out I think that will be the deciding factor for me. There are a few videos went went to the new zoo out in Goddard and the kids really enjoyed seeing the lemurs. Wyatt being a dinosaur and Aubriella's version of where is brella rose. She is so cute. Next week we are very excited to see Sr. Sophia Grace on Wednesday and have a bbq for her. Also I am getting ready to sell some items in a garage sale with some friends so hopefully we will make some money. Also next week Jenna will be in town and Wyatt is very excited to see her. On Friday we are taking her to the Goddard Zoo and hopefully she will enjoy it as much as our kiddos do. I will be sure to take plenty of pics of them interacting and promise not to be so long in between posts this time. Enjoy the photos and the videos!!

So its been forever since a post and I honestly didn't think the last time I had posted was in September but here is a fun little game.....I ran across a pic of Wyatt in the tub from when he was about Aubriella's age and instantly thought I had taken it of her but it wasn't so tell me who you think who is.....and I will let you know if you are right!!! Christmas was pretty fantastic here we celebrated for 8 days and let the kids open a new present each day and it ended this morning...work has been a bit of a downer there have not been as many patients in the hospital so we haven't been working as much which totally sucks on the bank account but they keep telling us it will get better!!! Just want to wish everyone a happy new year and hope it is full of blessings, wonderful adventures and fun!!!

Mom has been such a procrastinator of late that Aubriella and I have hijacked the computer and posted some pics. She has been telling me how she needs to post about the birthday party and everything else we have been busy doing lately. She keeps saying she is so busy. What is so busy about Aubriella and I. We are the two best well behaved kids I know and we are so much fun. Being a big brother is kind of fun when Aubriella cries I like to hold her hand and make her feel better unfortunately for me she is almost ready to crawl so soon I won't be able to torture her as much. I am two now and I am talking more everyday. I can count to three with a little help from mom or dad. We have been very busy since the first of August. A birthday party for me and then Granny had a birthday party and we got to road trip to Colorado for that. We stayed with Uncle Marty in his new house that was fun. I got to ride a tractor with grandpa around granny's farm. Grandma has been giving us lots of butterflies to let go and that is awesome to watch them fly away. I even took some to day care to share with all of my school friends. We went to the airshow and saw the jelly belly tour bus. This month is going to be even busier. We are having a Halloween party for all my friends and the pumpkin patch. Plus with the weather so nice we will probably be going to the zoo more often. I can hardly wait for all the adventures to come. Enjoy the photos of us!!!!

So Long Since A Post

So I know it has been a while since I posted and I do need to post some photo and I do have some good ones, but I have been busy especially since I went back to work last week.

The first day back at the hospital was hard. I cried when I left the little ones at daycare. I was later surprised that day with some welcome back to work flowers from the wee ones....it was a very nice surprise. This is my second week back and I am slowly getting into the grove so that is good but it is still hard to find my footing some days. I also found out last week that I will be helping train a new nurse on the unit. No good I am not a fan of precepting but I have been doing this 4 years now and just need to get with the program of realizing that helping to train the newbies is a good thing.

I have been actually thinking about trying to find a second job something where I just work one day a week so I can take a carribean vacay next year away from the wee ones. One where I will not be preggo either would definately be ideal.

Randy is currently trying to sand and refinish a dresser for the kids room for all of Aubriella's clothing. I am just trying to get rid of some toys and clothes so that I can have more room for all of the new toys we will be acquiring for the little girl. Trying to be organized for two kids is hard. Soon she will be moving out of our room and that will be kind of nice. This last week she slept through the night about 3 nights in a row so that is nice. I like it. Maybe by the time we move her over to her room she will be sleeping the night every night. That would be great for Wyatt's sake. I am worried that she will wake him up when she wakes up to eat.

We took Wyatt swimming at the Y a few weeks ago and it was great. He is so fun to watch. He has no fear which I kind of bad but I swear he fell into the water on purpose.

I just found out that National NFP Awareness Week is in July that is exciting maybe Wichita will do something to celebrate it.

And to wrap up for all you inquiring minds out there no we do not have a nickname picked out for the little girl yet. Pretty much we call her Aubriella cause ya know that is her name.

This blog is long overdue but it has been a little hectic around the O household. For those of you who don't know Aubriella was hospitalized last week for a urinary tract infection. It seems as though she has urinary reflux. It sounds like she will be okay but we are waiting to see a pediatric urologist to get the complete scoop. So my little bundle of joy is two weeks old yesterday. She is waking up more and she makes the cutest faces. Wyatt is doing well with her and not showing any jealousy towards her yet....we will see how long that lasts.
Aubriella's baptism is this weekend and I am no where close to being ready. With Wyatt I had his baptism invites sent the week he was born, everything was ordered, and all of the table decorations were done, of course I only had one baby then not two. Oh well I will get it all done.

It just amazes me, I look at Wyatt and think to myself how can you already be almost 2 years old time flies so fast. He is starting to become more verbal and communicate more. Which I really enjoy. Last night in the car we were listening to his cd and oh where oh where has my little dog gone was playing and Wyatt said "Where has my dog gone huh where is he?" It is just so cute. Today he learned the noise the fire truck makes thanks to mommy and how to say tractor.

This time on Monday we will have a new baby and I am sad. Not about the new baby no I just want her out of me and in my arms. I am sad because I am leaving Wyatt to go and have this new baby. It is hard because of the c section I have to stay at the hospital 3-4 days and I just feel like I am abandoning him. First we have to make it through Holy Week and Easter. I like to compare Easter to a marathon for us. I used to say it was like a race but now that we have Wyatt and are preparing for little girl to come the day after there is alot going on.

I work the next two days, Friday is last minute preparations, house cleaning and spending as much time with the big dog as possible. We are going to be brave and try to make homemade marshmallow bunnies and chocolate dipped pnut butter eggs. Then on Saturday it is off to an Easter Egg Hunt at Friends University, then to Zee Casa to decorate Easter eggs. Sunday Morning is Church, breakfast and Easter egg hunt with my family, then to Randy's parents house for lunch and yet another Easter egg hunt. From there we will leave Wyatt and go home. Bright and early on Monday (around 430 am) start to get ready to go to the hospital, check in, preop, and have a baby!!!!!!

So look for a post with all the stats of this little girl, the most awesome name ever to be revealed and possible a pic or two. We will also be texting too, and not to hurt anyone's feelings but this time we are invoking family only on day one but feel free to come visit us on Tuesday or Wednesday. I imagine we will get to go home on Thursday. We are up for visitors on Friday or Saturday but none on Sunday we have to go to Caleb's bday party that day!!!

So to my very few readers out there this is the last post from us until after the new baby is here. Happy Easter and say some prayers that all goes well on Monday and we survive the weekend.

So I am super ready to have this baby and I am already having some real contractions yeah. Unfortunately they hurt like an SOB. Its kind of a catch 22 I never went into labor with Wyatt so I am not really diggin on all this pain and discomfort but at the same time I am ready to meet this little girl. Anyways onto the serious business. My little monkey decided this weekend to cut his hair with Randy's beard trimmer and now he has a little bald spot. At least it wasn't 2 days before 6 week photos with little girl but it is only 10 days before easter. Oh well.

Anyways Wyatt is just growing up so quickly and learning more and more everyday. He is currently into trains and cars. When he hears the train coming he says choo choo. He also is going to be the best big brother a little sis could ask for. If you ask him where baby sis is he will point to my belly and sometimes when it is time for him to go to sleep at night and you tell him to give baby sis a night night kiss he will kiss my stomach. Too cute I love it.

Anyways the new baby will be arriving shortly although I do kind of hope it might be about 2 weeks from now instead of the day I am scheduled for c section. I just need to finish up a few things at home here and everything will be ready for her arrival.

The hubby and I only watch a few reality shows. For some reason this year I was compelled to watch The Bachelor. I was intrigued by this man who wanted to find a wife for himself and a mother for his son. Last night it was the final rose and he picked the girl that I liked and wanted him to pick. Then they had a special on after the rose ceremony and he dumped her because things just weren't the same and he said he had feelings for the other girl that he thought he might marry. His fiance said to him so you don't want to fight for me to make it work. It had only been 6 weeks and the 6 weeks prior to that he had been dating several other women.
It just made me sad nobody is willing to fight for anything anymore and that is what we are teaching our children that nothing is worth fighting for even love. I think this man Jason will never be happy with whoever he is with he kept telling all these women that they were completing a part of him that before them he was missing a piece of himself. It made me think of Jason Everett an abstinence speaker I once heard who commented on the song Mamba #5. He said that man was never going to be happy because he wasn't man enough to be with one woman. I think that is what the Bachelor is like. None of these men are man enough to be with one woman.

Shows like this make such a mockery of marriage. How sad that no one wants to fight for the long haul anymore. All I can say is that the girl who was dumped walked away with incredible composure.

On the plus side this baby will be arriving in a little over a month. I am so happy this pregnancy was way harder than Wyatt. I can't wait to meet our new little butter bean

Time Flies

There are only 90 days until the birth of this baby. 90 days where did all the time go. I remember being preggo with Wyatt and thinking it was interminable until I would finally get to hold him in my arms and not my uterus. My arms ached for him. Now all I can think is slow down baby. I am antsy to meet this new little one but couldn't he/she come a little slower. The days count down so quickly. The good news is that hopefully we will be having a sono sometime this week or next week and hopefully this baby will be forthcoming with whether it is a boy or girl. If it is a boy we are screwed, we have no boy names and no ideas for anything we are liking right now as for a girl got that covered along with some clothing a my first halloween outfit, columbia jacket, and a christmas dress for next year. Thanks to mom who is 100% convinced this little one is a girl and has made no secret of her thoughts hence all the girl clothing. I would just like to know so that I can buy some clothing and pick out a name.

Wyatt is really starting to show his personality more and more this last few weeks. His language is picking up he signs more, please and eat. He also says I love you in the car after we leave the grandparents house. Just the other day when we left my mom and dad's house I swear he said "bye pretty lady see you later" to my mom. How cute is that. He loves to dance and it is so funny to watch him turn his circles and move up and down. I just love motherhood it is so much fun at all stages even when they are itty bitty and just need your snuggles.

Hopefully I will be able to post sometime in the next week or two what baby is.

The other day at work some nurses were talking about large catholic families and how those families don't believe in birth control because they believe in NFP. What frustrated me so much was to hear them talk about it and the asinine comments they made. None of them were even close to being educated on what it is or how it works. I wanted to ask if they thought NFP was a 24/7 sex fest to try and be pregnant everytime you are fertile. Let's face it that is not what it is. Its being disciplined enough to know when you are fertile and when you aren't and to treat that fertility with respect. Why can't people understand that. Then what upset me even more is they proceeded to ask me why birth control was wrong in the eyes of the church and I said one of the major reasons is that BC is an abortifacient. One nurse said to me well that means it did its job. How apalling I can't even begin to think of harming any future children Randy and I might have by being on BC. It also made me sad to know that human life meant so little to my colleagues.

I can honestly say at this point I don't want to be a mom to 10 children or 18 like the famous Duggar Family. I can also say that I hope Randy and I don't have a menopausal baby, but God has a plan for Randy and I however many children we have. I am glad that there are people out there who do let go and let God. I look at the Duggar Family and I admire Jim and Michelle. Their children are well taken care of, emotionally balanced and morally intact. I also think it is amazing that they have that much love and are so unselfish and giving with that love with their children.

So my mommies out there who are NFPer's help educate the world about what it really is all about. I think it is amazing to be able to have the control to say to Randy now is an awesome time to try and bring another child into the world or now is not the time for us to be doing that let's express our love to each other in other ways.

To all you women out there on BC I hope you have the courage to ask someone who does NFP what's it all about. I think you would find a more satisfying way of seeing how fertility can work for you instead of trying to hide from this beautiful gift God has given us.

Thanks to everyone who helped make my bday so rocktastic yesterday and thanks to Roger (Randy's Boss) for letting us eat on the company dime with the new shop manager. Ted's was super duper awesome.

What an exciting week for the O's. Monday night during bath time Wyatt stood up (yes it is a big no no but they move so quit there was no time to stop him) hit his chin on the other side of the tub and bled all over mommy and his towel. Hence prompting a run to Minor Emergency. So I grab him out of the tub check out the cut and tell Randy we have to go. Throw on a diaper grab a blanket and some PJ's we jumped in the car. He laughed and was all chatty all the way to Minor Emergency. Thank God we made it right in time. They were closing in 10 minutes. Wyatt ran all over the lobby after his PJ's were on and climbed on everything. I asked him if he had not learned his lesson from the tub incident. Of course he had to get 5 stitches, no fun for a little guy. After the stitches incident he was Mr. Happy man all the way home. He is such a daredevil.

On the plus side baby #2 has a nickname now. This baby moves so differently than Wyatt did. Sometimes it feels like baby is tickling me from the inside out. My bro in law said the baby was itchy tickly. I now call baby ITO. Its funny even when we knew Wyatt was a boy we called him LB throughout most of the pregnancy. My sis and bro called their baby Eduardo thoughout her pregnancy. It does help me to feel closer to the little one. Crazy but we are a nickname kind of family. Wednesday is the big day. We find out what we are having. I am excited about that but also the fact that we can see how baby is doing.

So first off Congrats to Kristi, Andrew and Mia on their new little addition Vincent Joseph. How exciting and without the drugs even better. Good Job Momma!!!!

Hopefully the O's will be finding out if their little budle of joy will be needing pink or blue next week. I am hoping for a boy just cause I love Wyatt so much and I just feel as though I am not quite ready for a little girl. Also I have so many boy clothes. I just inherited even more from my sis in law who had little Caleb in April last year so I am already set for those seasons.

I love it, I am so neurotic I want a boy so badly that I have done like 8 million chinese lunar calendars and I get disheartened when it says girl. I am just going through a stage where I don't even want another baby right now. Which is crazy if you had asked me in June if I was ready for #2 I would have said HELL YEAH. In July though I had pretty much resigned myself to the fact that I wanted more space between my bambiners and didn't want to try to have another baby until the spring. I currently feel like a terrible mom cause I don't even want to be a mom again right now. I just remind myself daily that God has a plan boy or girl and soon I will be out of my funk and wanting this child to be out of utero as much as I wanted Wyatt out of utero.

I must admit holding little Vince did make me a tiny bit jealous. It is so amazing to hold the fruits of your 9 month labor and to look at that little baby and know in your heart that God is truly amazing and he had it all figured out from the beginning. To know that you have been apart of something so beautiful and filled with love is just speechless, breathless and fulfulling at one time. Words cannot even begin to describe the emotions you have all at once when you carry that child and then hold it in your arms. Truly our children hold our hearts in their hands. I think I am slowly becoming more excited about this new little one as I type.

Whatever you are little one know that I will love you with all my heart.

So I am hoping for a boy but I must admit the girl name we have picked out is pretty rockin and I would like to use it someday.

Tell me what your guess is and if your lucky we might be willing to share the sex of the baby with you when we find out in the next week or two.

So Keeks is about to have a baby (I was hoping today but sounds like its stll iffy) and it makes me excited to see this new little U2. It also makes me think how more excited I am to have our little one. I have an appointment on Monday and then I will be able to schedule my sonogram. I know I have already have had 2 sonos but I can't wait to see this baby it is actually becoming more real for me especially since little one is starting to move.

Wyatt is doing well. He is having a little bit of a rough week as is mommy. Dad is out of town again. Halloween was fun Wyatt was a pumpkin and he was very cute if I must say so myself. He is cousin Nic was a frog. I am excited for next year when he will grasp more of what Halloween is.

All is Well

Its been awhile since a post.....What has been going on well we went to the pumpkin patch last Saturday. I will post some pics as soon as possible. Then the hubby and I had a romantic night out to celebrate 3 years of marital bliss. Its crazy to think that we have even been together that long but we have. It was a nice evening dinner and a movie and no baby well one baby but that baby was very well behavin.

Tuesday was another prenatal appointment. Baby is growing and we are right on time. Thank goodness second trimester is here. The heart beat was 166 a little on the high side but Wyatt was high his first appointment too and then he started to lower. Only about 4 weeks away from finding out if little O2 is a boy or girl.

On Our Own

This week The Dub and I are on our own. Dad is out of town in Vegas for a conference. Fun for him but no fun for us. That's okay though we enjoy spending time together. I am so excited because Saturday marked the big 12 so the first trimester is almost over with. Can't wait until second trimester comes along. The plus side will maybe be having more energy and no more throwing up which would be the major bonus for me. Although after I throw up it seems that I am hungry for the rest of the day and the insulin I have been put on for the gestational diabetes is not seeming to help at the current moment. Oh well I will suffer through anything for this baby. I am just glad that so far everything is as it should be. Well here is to a few more days of being a single parent. Thank God for my parents though they take very good care of us when Randy is away.

I went to the OB on Tuesday for my first appointment. Everything looks good and that is awesome all my labs are good and I have been having morning sickness. I had a sono done of the baby and for any woman out there who has ever been sick while preggo I know you will feel my pain. Based on my LMP I would have been 10 weeks and I was estatic because the first trimester was almost over and I was counting down the days to no more vomiting in the morning. Then came the sono and bless Amy ARNP but she had to break the unfornate news to me that while baby is healthy, moving and heart is beating we are only measuring 9 weeks 4 days. I could have cried in that office. I know its not that big of a deal but when you are starting every morning in front of the toilet you can't wait for the day it will hopefully stop. Oh well tomorrow is 10 weeks and I am excited. Not only that but the mister and I are having a semi free baby weekend while we go camping.

So this isn't really in chronological order but here's what we've been up to lately. Wyatt had his hair cut. It was an at home job but I have a serious issue paying 12 for a cut for my 1 year old when a pair of clippers cost 14 and can give me a 100% return on my investment of cutting his hair ourselves. It didn't turn bad but it is different he has lost that little baby look and he looks even more like a big kid.

Last weekend we celebrated Wyatt's first bday with family and close friends. It was very nice and went over really well. All the kids enjoyed themselves and Wyatt received way too many presents.

So we are only 10 days away from Wyatt's first birthday. He has now started to walk more and more. He is so funny as he becomes more vocal and wants to give hugs and kisses. I just love to see his little personality coming out more and more. Last week has been very busy. Randy replaced the garbage disposal and we also got a new faucet. This next two weeks will be super duper busy. Not only do I have to work, I also am taking a class on Friday and Saturday for certification then I work three days in a row to have almost a week off for Wyatt's birthday and getting ready for his party. A Night Away

So this weekend the mister and I had a staycation. We left the bambino with Grandma and Grandpa and Randy and I had a wonderful dinner and we went to our old haunt Mort's and we stayed at the Marriot downtown in Oldtown FABULOUS. I do love a good martini and I had several. Yay to having a few drinks and no baby to worry about. This was my first night away from the Wy Wy so it was a little hard for me to leave him. I did only have one breakdown and cried right before we went to sleep. I can say it was probably good for Wyatt to have some time away from us also. Plus it is nice to have been Randy and Rachel, husband and wife, as opposed to mom and dad even if it was for only about 16 hours. On the plus side before we left to go to Randy's parents house and drop Wyatt off he took 2 steps by himself. I am excited walking looks to be in Wyatt's near future.

As Wyatt quickly approaches the one year mark, it reminds me of how excited I was at this point last year in my pregnancy to have my son. I remember going to doctors appointments and getting to see him in the sonogram. Thinking to myself good god when am I going to have this kid. I was super ready to be holding my baby in my arms and not in my uterus. Now he is so grown up and starting to stand on his own soon he will be taking his first steps and I just am overcome with emotion at times. I can't believe he will be one year old only 30 days from now. Crazy mom that I am I have been planning an extravaganza for about two months now. Our house is being overrun with bday party supplies. I think to myself that I am going overboard on birthday stuff, but then I say to myself you only turn once and it is a most momentous occasion.

Well here's to you Wyatt as we celebrate 11 months today I can not wait to see how much you change in the next month. Will you be walking, will you have said your first word???? Who knows what you will be doing but as your infancy starts to end and your days of your toddler years begin I will be there thinking of the days when I couldn't wait to meet you, how much you have changed and what is next to come for you my little man.

Sorry it has taken so long for an update but here is what is new with us. We went to Colorado and visited Wyatt's Great Grandmas and we saw Jenna (wyatt's cousin). It is so fun to watch her interact with him. She talks to him like he is a big kid and understands everything she is saying. I just love it and it is super cute. We have been having lots of summer adventures like swimming at the pool. Wyatt is getting so comfortable in the water he tries to put his face in, we have also been to the zoo and we helped move Randy's parents closer to us. Here's a few pics of us. Adventurous Day

Wednesday Wyatt and I had an adventurous day. We were driving down Rock Rd to run some errands. A sign (30% off scrubs, scooters and lifts) caught my eye. I will never forget this sign for as long as I live. Anyways the nest thing I know there it was a Mercury Sable right in front of us. It was too late no matter how fast I was going to break I was hitting this car. Don't get me wrong the thought of an impending wreck didn't impede me from trying to break as hard and as fast as I could. Long story short I rearended the nicest woman ever. She has some bumper damage. Truth be told my hood is worse than her car. So Wyatt cried for 30 secs after the jostle and then fell back asleep. Mom suffered a little bit of whiplash but even that is clearing up. No need for the ER since RN's are notorius for self treating. A call to the Peds Office assured me that Wyatt was okay and to keep an eye on him. He is still his happy go lucky self. So the O's will be shopping for another car soon. This weekend we are jetsetting to Pueblo, CO to see some fam. Look for some photos to come soon of Wyatt's adventures there. Enjoy some pics of my hood damage.

So the last month has been busy for us not only have we been on the lookout for a new car, we bought our first car as Mr. & Mrs. Yay for us but not so yay that we our having to factor in a car payment into the old budget.

Last week on Thursday the air conditioner broke. Sucky now we have to wait until Thursday or Friday this week for the repair person can take a peek at it. Then on Sunday the garbage disposal broke. Talk about a string of bad luck for Team O.

All in all the little Wyster has been doing well. He plays a mad game of peek a boo and last night while he was playing with Randy it sounded like he almost said peek a boo. It was awesome. We have also been working on standing alone and today he stood for almost a full minute by himself. Sweetness for him. I can't wait until he is walking all on his lonesome.

It is amazing being a mom. God totally had this whole baby making thing right. I look at Wyatt and I can't believe he started out as one little cell and then he grew inside me for 9 months. I think back and this time last year I was 5 month preggo and now he is 9 months and will soon be 1 year old. I think he is growing up too quickly!!!! I just look at him and it makes me want to cry at how blessed our family is.

Enough of the mushy!!! On to how excited I am that the hubster and I agree that we wouldn't care if we got preggo. I am not saying we are preggo because I am not, but how exciting for us that we don't care. If it is God's will we could be preggo anytime. Yay babies!!!!!!!!!!!

New Car

Last Week my awesome husband Randy was driving to work and drove through a flooded street. He did not see that the street was flooded. It was five in the morning and the lighting wasn't all that great. The car stalled then restarted and Randy drove the car home so we could switch vehicles. Yesterday the insurance came and totalled out the car. Oh Joy we are going car shopping. Its a little bit depressing for me seeing as how I was supposed to get a new car first not husband. Oh well the next three weeks are going to be super duper busy what with all the going out of town we will be doing and helping Randy's parents move somewhere in that time frame we will be car shopping. Mother's Day

So mothers day was quite relaxing and I loved it!!!! We didn't do much just ate

breakfast with the fam and took a nap. That afternoon we did go to the park. This is Wyatt's first park going experience and he loved the swing. He also just loved to watch the other kids at play. I just can't believe how fast he is growing up. He waves, crawls, pulls up to whatever is sturdy enough to help him hold his balance. This week's adventure includes cutting his first tooth. Oh what joy for mom and dad.

So the baby bug has officially hit. My sister in law is preggo with her baby and according to the ob she is due any minute. In fact he was surprised she hadn't already had the bundle of joy. Kiks is preggo too and I just feel as though I am ready for number two. I just can't the hubby to committ to baby #2 yet. No matter how hard I try he always tells me that Wyatt isn't ready yet for a baby bro or sis. No matter how hard I try to tell myself I am not ready it just makes me want a baby even more. I am not even sure if it is what God is calling us to right now but I feel as though he is. I keep telling Randino that I just have so much love for Wyatt my heart is overflowing and I am ready to share it with more beautiful gifts from God. Heres to hoping I can get Randy onto baby #2 or get over the baby bug and soon!!!!

Oh the Excitement

So this weekend Wyatt made his second visit to the ER. At 300 am he woke up with a cough and a stuffy nose after every cough he would cry. I knew something was wrong with him then. After taking his temperature and it only being low grade 99.6 the hubby and I decided to embark on the wonderful adventure of taking Wyatt to the ER. Thank God we missed the 4 hour wait to see the doc by about a hour. Nonetheless the visit was still two hours. After finally being seen by someone we found out that Wyatt has the croup. We left the ER about 545. Thank God he went back to sleep on the ride home and slept until about 1000. I guess since it turned out to be a drizzly day none of our plans were really ruined. Randy's parents ended up coming to town and we had lunch we them. They just bought a house closer to town and wanted to show the clan some photos. How exciting now both sets of grandparent will be only about 30 mins away.

So tonight I was flipping through the channels trying to find something to watch and I landed on a show on channel 8. This show was all about PJP II and I love PJP II. The love he had for the catholic faith and the love he had for the human race despite its many follies leaves me in awe and wonder. I want to strive to be more like this man. He is a great man and the one instance that strikes me the most about him is when he went to Jerusalem a few years before his death. While there he went to the rabbis and spoke to them and apologized for the wrongs that had been done against the Jewish People. He was trying to build a bridge for peace. I feel that if more people had forgiveness in their heart there would be more peace in the world. I think that today's world does not want to bear the crosses they are given in this life whether it is many small crosses or a large daily cross but look at PJP II he bore his cross with his disease of parkinson's and never once did he show signs of being unfaithful to our loving and merciful GOD. We could all learn something from PJP II. So in today's world when we struggle to see a light of beauty I think we should all look to the beautiful light that PJP II showed to us all even to the minute of his death. I am excited that he is being fast tracked into the world of sainthood. He is an amazing man who did so much good for the world. Through this last week of lent we should all try to show the world the beauty of our light and try to bring peace to everyone we see in our day.

The Crawl and other things

So the husband is out of town this week, in Lake Buena Vista Florida no less. I am a little sad the tickets were about $200.00 round trip plus hotel and food and the husband didn't want Wyatt and I to go with. Oh well maybe Wyatt and I will take a business trip sometime and leave Randy at home. So the babe is mobile we put the gate up on Sunday. Life is different when the wee one can get around know the word no is said here a lot. Time to really start baby proofing the house. Oh well I love that Wyatt is getting more independent. Well gotta go Wyatt is up and we have errands to run.

Wyatt's Developments

So last week my son got up on all fours and it freaked me out. The hubby and I have yet to baby proof the house. I spoke with a few of the nurses on the unit and they all told me that when their babies got to that point it still took their baby's about two months before the actually crawl. That relieved my feelings of impending doom when my child will be mobile. This week he has started doing the face plant. He gets up on all fours and then pushes up onto the balls of his feet and puts his head down and scoots forward. Its quite humorous. Today he actually took some steps towards an actual crawl. He puts one leg in front of the other, then he does a lunge then gets back up on all fours. I thought I had two months to get ready for the crawl that seems to not be the case. The crawl is getting ever closer and I am starting to feel a little bit of sadness that soon my little man will be on the go!!!!!

I just found out that at 8:21 pm I became an aunt again. I have yet to see some photos but I am excited to meet the newest addition to my family. The new niece's name is Lauren Grace and she weighed in at 8 lbs 11 oz and was 21 inches long. This is exciting. I love all of my nieces and one nephew soon to be two nephews as soon as my sis in law has her baby in April. Yes I can hardly wait until I have my next bambiner. Congrats to Melissa and David and I can't wait to meet Lauren and see her big sis Allison.

I promise in my next post that I will tell more about myself and my family and all my business I am involved in. Also I am going to be working on the format of my site and I will post some photos of my son and husband.

What are you kidding me how can you be pro life, pro family yet still be pro choice. Family is life and that means to me if you are pro family then you are pro life.

I look at my son and I couldn't ever think of him not being here or killing him by my decision to be selfish person. I am of the mind that people who are in relationships forget what love is all about at times it is not selfish it is selfless. You are always giving to your love whatever it is they need. I do not deny that it isn't hard to be in this type of relationship but in the end you get back so much more. I love being PRO LIFE. I love being a mom and a wife. So today on this anniversary of Roe V. Wade.

I encourage everyone tho think about their life and what it is that makes them Pro Life or Pro Choice. Lets face it if your love life or you love someone else you should be thankful that their mom was selfless enough to let that person have their life. Thank your mom today I know I will!!
